All songs need the trumpet.

So sue me.

Sometimes I geek out when musicians tweet back at me. Mostly because I know it is actually the musicians in this case tweeting back at me (and not some PR firm).
As if I needed another show to watch, someone urges me to watch Smash.
You guys. This show.
Sometimes I have these great moments of hope and clarity. And, others I get the wind knocked out of me.

Today I got asked if I’m a hipster. And, I couldn’t help but laugh.

Such a daredevil I am. But...

High points from tonight:
My friend gave birth (which I’ve openly discussed all day) to her beautiful son.
Dinner at Watercourse.
Running into Mat Kearney while at dinner. He walked right by my table. Inches, people. Inches from me.
Robert Francis (the opener). So good.
Watching (and listening) to an incredibly humbled artist.
The fact that Mat pulled a kid on stage and let him play a...

Mat Kearney does Adele’s “I Set Fire to the Rain” mashed with “Bullet.”
